A bridge to link Centre Skilled Trades with A building will strengthen the bond between trades and the college. A major milestone was met when the steel girders were installed Monday. Georgian is creating a new learning environment to prepare students for a sustainable economy by offering enhanced training in robotics, artificial intelligence, and digital technology. “The bridge installation represents a significant milestone in this multi-year project, physically connecting learning spaces and enhancing access to modern facilities and services for students. The expansion strengthens Georgian’s ability to meet the evolving needs of learners and employers, supports regional workforce development, and contributes to long-term economic growth,” read the college’s statement. Georgian College announced plans to modernize its Centre for Skilled Trades in January 2025.
