Caledon police have charged a former youth camp worker and ice-skating instructor in connection with an alleged sexual assault involving a young person. OPP’s Major Crime Unit launched the investigation back in February after receiving a report about an incident that allegedly took place in 2023. As a result, a 32-year-old Uxbridge man has been charged with sexual assault, sexual interference and invitation to sexual touching under 16 years of age. Investigators have confirmed that the man was employed at Teen Ranch, a summer camp located in Caledon, during the time of the incident. He also worked as an ice-skating instructor. Authorities say they are concerned that there may be more victims and are asking parents to speak with their children regarding possible instances of sexual misconduct that may have took place through these roles. Police say the accused is no longer employed with the camp and that the organization has been cooperative throughout the ongoing probe. The man was held for a bail hearing to answer to his charges.
