A young Bancroft man is dead after a watercross event went horribly wrong on Sunday. Provincial police say two snowmobiles crashed on a pond at Pinestone Resort Golf and Conference Centre in Haliburton around 1:30 p.m. A 29-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. The Ontario Provincial Police’s Central Region Traffic Incident Management Enforcement team (TIME) is investigating the collision.
