Emergency services were called to a serious collision involving a car and a cyclist. Provincial police say the cyclist was struck by the vehicle on Highway 26 between 11 Line and 10 Line in Thornbury shortly after 7 p.m. Thursday. Police say the 59-year-old cyclist was declared dead at Meaford General Hospital. The driver of the car was co-operative with police during the investigation. A section of Highway 26 was closed for several hours between the 11 Line and 10 Line. The investigation is ongoing.
