Barrie Police say an investigation of a collision in the city’s south end is underway. According to police, a vehicle and a cyclist were involved in a collision around 4:20 p.m. on Saturday afternoon, in the area of Big Bay Point Road, west of Yonge Street. Police say the collision sent the 61-year-old cyclist to hospital. The investigation prompted an hours long closure of one westbound lane at Montgomery Drive. The driver of the vehicle, a 32-year-old man, remained on the scene and cooperated with police. No charges have been laid, as police say the investigation is ongoing.
