Cottage from ‘Heated Rivalry’ officially on Airbnb

The lakefront home that serves as the season finale set of the Crave show is now an Airbnb.

Fans of “Heated Rivalry” can now stay in the cottage that characters Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov escaped to for a private getaway.

The cottage marked a turning point for the couple’s relationship and that symbolic setting just so happens to be situated in Muskoka.

Discover Muskoka created a promotional campaign earlier this year, "Come to the Cottage," to boost tourism in the region, using the show for leverage. At the time, the cottage set in the show wasn’t yet up on Airbnb.

But now, you could really step foot where Hollander and Rozanov did.

The Barlochan, a three-bedroom, three-bathroom lakefront cottage on the west shore of Lake Muskoka, offers 400 feet of private waterfront and large windows, supporting a clear lake view on the scenic lookout of Walkers Point.

No cottage in Muskoka could be complete without Muskoka Chairs, which this one has out on the patio along with a barbecue.

The property has both a rocky waterfront and a beach with a sandy shallow entry on the private shoreline.

The posting advertises the cottage as being 20 minutes from Gravenhurst and Bala, offering boat access to the ‘Big 3′ Muskoka Lakes.

The Barlochan costs $248.10 per night, which is an homage to Hollander and Rozanov’s jersey numbers 24 and 81, respectively.

The cottage is available for booking as of noon on March 3.

Two hours north of Toronto, Muskoka is one of Canada’s most popular cottage locations known for its rocky shorelines and sparkling lakes.

The smash-hit Canadian series, airing on Bell Media’s streaming platform Crave, reached audiences around the globe and created a cultural movement sparking conversations about breaking cultural norms surrounding toxic masculinity in sports.

“Heated Rivalry” is an LGBTQ romance that centres around two professional hockey rivals who find themselves secretly carrying out a relationship, which they feel the need to keep hidden due to the toxic masculine culture that is so often at the centre of professional hockey.

The show, recognized as a global sensation, is Crave’s most watched original series.
