Collingwood home overtaken by flames following aggressive fire attack

Two people evacuated a home on fire in Collingwood on Monday.

Firefighters in Collingwood responded Monday to a reported structure fire, arriving to find heavy flames showing from a window of the home.

Photos posted from the scene, in the early hours of the morning, show large flames and a plume of smoke extending outside of an unidentified residence.

Authorities say an aggressive offensive attack was launched to stop the fire from spreading, and firefighters were able to bring the blaze under control and extinguish it.

No injuries were reported in the midst.

Officials say the Town of the Blue Mountains Fire Department assisted with water supply during the incident.

It is unclear how much damage was caused to the home or how the fire started in the first place.
