Circle K clerk threatened with edged weapon during robbery: OPP

Police are seeking assistance from the public following an alleged armed robbery that took place overnight at a convenience store in Penetanguishene.

On Sunday, just before 8 p.m., officers arrived at the Circle K store on Main Street after an unknown man allegedly flashed a sharp-edged weapon toward the clerk, demanding cash.

Officials say the suspect fled the store after snatching a small amount of money from the register.

Members of the OPP Emergency Response Team, Canine Unit, and the OPP Remotely Piloted Aerial System responded to the incident but didn’t have any luck tracking down the man.

The suspect is described as a white man with grey eyes, wearing a black sweatshirt, blue pants, work gloves, and a ski mask.
