The Barrie Airshow returns this June with a thrilling lineup of aerial performances and community festivities. While the Canadian Forces Snowbirds absence marks the end of an era for many fans, on Friday afternoon, the city released a mix of new military and talent. Event-goers can expect to see the Canadian Armed Forces SkyHawks Parachute Team. Adding to the military presence is the CH-146 Griffon helicopter from the 400 Tactical Helicopter Squadron. Back in April, organizers announced that the CF-18 Tactical Demonstration Team will be soaring high above Kempenfelt skies. The list of 2025 civilian performers include: The airshow starts Fri., June 6, followed by back-to-back airshows on Saturday and Sunday. This year’s event will kick-off with the Muskoka Extreme water ski show beginning at 12 p.m. followed by the opening address and air display, each day. Last year’s festivities drew nearly 140,000 people who filled the waterfront parks and flooded the downtown core. The event contributed over $11 million to Barrie’s local economy, according to the city.
