Barrie man’s Halloween costume fools residents

Police have arrested a man in connection to suspicious activity involving children in the Westheights Drive area of Kitchener.

A Halloween costume was so realistic it fooled the neighbours.

Barrie police were called to Nelson Street after they received reports that a suspicious person was creeping in the night between two residences just after midnight on Friday morning.

The person in question was wearing a long black coat and a mask with hair tied back.

When police arrived and found the person, it turned out to be a man just testing out his Halloween costume.

After police reassured the man that his costume was indeed a good one, officers cleared the scene.

It’s unclear what the man was dressed up as.
