Three people, including a 16 year old, have been arrested in separate child pornography investigations. On April 27, Barrie police arrested the Midland teen after a 10 month investigation. Police say the boy was using the popular video game “Minecraft” to upload child pornography. Officers seized eight devices and charged the teen with possession of child pornography. On May 3, police arrested a 52-year-old Barrie man after receiving an anonymous tip. Officers seized eight devices, which they say contained 700 images of child porn. He was also charged with possession. That same day, a 44-year-old Barrie man was arrested. Police say they were tipped off after they received a cellphone. While trying to reunite the owner with the phone, officers discovered child pornography. He’s been charged with possession of child pornography. All three accused will appear in court at future dates.
