John Travolta planted a kiss on Scarlett Johansson on the red carpet at the Oscar Awards Sunday night.
The 30-year-old actress was left stunned with the 'Grease' star, 61, crept up behind her while she was posing for photographs at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday and gave her a sloppy smacker on her right cheek.
The blonde beauty appeared to find the intimate situation quite awkward as she kept her arms down by her side and looked at the actor out of the corner of her eye.
The weird encounter comes exactly one year after John hit the headlines during the 2014 Academy Awards when he mispronounced Idina Menzel's name - referring to her as Adele Dazeem - as he introduced her to the stage to collect her gong.
Meanwhile, despite being taken back by John's weird gesture, Scarlett already seemed to be in a fluster as she arrived at the glamorous ceremony "fashionably late."
Speaking to E! host Ryan Seacrest on the red carpet, she said: "I'm fashionably late. It gave me a panic attack just getting here."
The 'Lucy' star, who welcomed her first child Rose into the world with her husband Romain Dauriac five months ago, looked stunning in an emerald figure-hugging dress, which was complete with a sexy plunging neckline.
She teamed the gown with an over-sized choker necklace embellished in green rhinestones and sequins.
