One of the last original McLaren F1 supercars ever made is up for sale in near-new condition, reports McLaren’s Special Operations Heritage division, and the price tag could be as high as $17.5 million CDN.

The car is chassis #069, and was the 60th model hand-built at McLaren’s facilities in Woking, England between 1993 and 1998. The manufacturer made a total 64 examples of the original road car; special editions and racing versions brought total production up to an even 100.

With just 4,500 km (2,800 miles) on the odometer, McLaren is presenting the car as for sale “in concours condition,” that is, like-new and ready-to-show (see photos of the car here). The sale includes all of the car’s original documentation and even the limited edition owner’s watch.

The Gordon Murray-designed McLaren F1 is arguably the most iconic supercar of the 1990s. Powered by 6.1-litre 627-horsepower BMW V12, it still holds the record for fastest naturally aspirated production road car ever built, thanks to its top speed of 390.7 km/h (242.8 mph).

The McLaren F1 sold for roughly $1 million new, but recently examples have been going for several times that. This model is being sold by McLaren Special Operations, which handles the manufacturer’s maintenance services and customer care programmes.
