A brand-new scripted comedy series is now streaming on Bell Fibe TV1. Hey Halifax Hello! Today! was created by Taylor Olson, Adam Diller, and Bob Mann. The show follows best friends, Nick and Robbie, as they fumble their way through hosting a cable access program. The series leans heavily into “so bad it’s good” humour, complete with sketches and interviews. “I think it’s like it’s either going to be for you or not,” said Olson in an interview with CTV Atlantic’s Katie Kelly. “My friends, Adam Diller and Bob Mann who co-created the show with me - we love irreverent humor.” The show features guest appearances from East Coast icons like Trailer Park Boys’ Robb Wells and Letterkenny’s Jonathan Torrens. It was filmed entirely in Halifax and Dartmouth with an all-local cast and crew. Beyond television, the creators are also embracing social media. Short clips from the series are already popping up on Instagram and TikTok to give audiences a taste of what’s to come. But Olson says the goal remains simple. “Just really hope they laugh. And then if you watch the whole show, I hope you reflect on your friendships and how important they are. And that your friendships matter more, than the product of the art you create.” Hey Halifax Hello! Today! is now streaming for Bell Fibe TV subscribers.
