The price of furnace oil and diesel will change overnight in Prince Edward Island. The Prince Edward Island Regulatory and Appeals Commission issued a news release Friday afternoon letting Islanders know about the unscheduled adjustment, effective 12:01 a.m. Saturday. “As noted recently, global events have resulted in market volatility, which sometimes requires unscheduled pricing adjustments (interruptions),” reads the release. “The Commission adopted the practice of providing advance notice if there will be an unscheduled price adjustment (interruption). This advance notice will include the products being adjusted and the effective date of the adjusted pricing.” The next scheduled pricing adjustment is Oct. 16.
