P.E.I. RCMP arrests man on drug-related offences for second time in a month

A 35-year-old man who was arrested last month on drug-related offences was arrested again for allegedly possessing cocaine, according to the Prince Edward Island RCMP.

Officers conducted a targeted vehicle stop on Water Street in Summerside on Monday. They seized cocaine and cash, according to an RCMP news release.

Police say Alexander Clarence Robert Banks was arrested for possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine. He was remanded into custody.

Banks was previously arrested on May 5 for other outstanding alleged drug-related offences.
