The price of gasoline and diesel dropped on Prince Edward Island overnight following an unscheduled adjustment. The price of regular gasoline decreased by 3.7 cents to a new minimum price of 166.5 cents per litre. Diesel prices decreased by 16.1 cents. The minimum price is now 213.8 cents per litre. “Global markets are currently experiencing high volatility in response to geopolitical tensions abroad. As markets continue to respond to global events, the Commission has had to respond with appropriate pricing adjustments to maintain fairness for Islanders and consistent supply,” says the Prince Edward Island Regulatory and Appeals Commission. Diesel and gas prices did not change overnight in Nova Scotia or New Brunswick. The next scheduled adjustment for all three Maritime provinces is Friday.
