A Charlottetown man is facing a criminal charge after he allegedly killed a neighbour’s cat earlier this month. Charlottetown Police Services responded to a call of a missing indoor cat at a Norwood Road apartment on Oct. 4. The animal’s disappearance was reported as suspicious based on “disturbing evidence” found in the laundry room, according to a news release from police. Officers found the cat dead at another location. Robert Wayne Schurman, 32, was charged with causing animals or birds unnecessary suffering. He is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 19.
