Three people are facing drug trafficking charges after police seized cocaine in a Willow Street parking lot in Truro, N.S., on Friday. Police say they conducted two traffic stops as part of an ongoing drug investigation. Along with the cocaine, they seized packaging materials, digital scales and cellphones. Bible Hill’s Matthew Scott Johnson, 42, an unnamed 27-year-old man from Indian Brook and an unnamed 34-year-old woman from Bible Hill were each charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking. Another man and woman were arrested during the traffic stops, but were later released without charges, according to police. Johnson, who was remanded into custody, was scheduled to appear in court on Monday. The other two suspects were released and are set to appear in court in November.
