The Stan Rogers Folk Festival announced its 2025 lineup Thursday. The 28th edition of the music festival, which takes place in Canso, N.S., from July 21 – 27, features folk, country, blues, soul, gospel, pop, rock and bluegrass artists. “The Stan Rogers Folk Festival has grown from the much-loved, weekend camping event, to a seven-day, folk music extravaganza!” said artistic director Steve MacIntyre in a news release. This summer artists like Adam Baldwin, David Francey, Jah’Mila, Mary Gauthier, Morgan Toney, Sloan, The Stanfields, and Vishten, will take the stage. “With over 50 artists and a rich diversity of genres and styles of music, there is something for everyone,” said MacIntyre. Leading up to the main festival, the Stanfest Roadshow will present nine concerts across seven Guysborough County communities. “This series celebrates the rich cultural diversity of the region and culminates with an artist-packed kick-off concert on our festival main stage on Thursday evening,” said MacIntyre.
