An emergency alert in Halifax has been lifted after the suspect of a shooting was arrested, according to the RCMP. Police issued an emergency alert on Saturday morning around 11:30 a.m., warning residents of the Bedford area to stay inside and lock their doors as there was a dangerous man with a firearm in the area. In an updated alert at around 12:55 p.m., police confirmed the 31-year-old suspect had been arrested. According to a news release from Halifax Regional Police, the man was believed to be involved with a shooting in Annapolis Royal on Saturday morning, but no further details were released.
