Police are looking for a suspect after a significant amount of copper tubing was stolen from a construction site in Lower Sackville, N.S., last month, causing half a million dollars in damage. The RCMP responded to a report of a copper theft at the site in the 0-100 block of First Lake Drive on Aug. 20. Police say someone entered the fenced-in area, accessed the roof, and removed copper tubing from several heating, ventilation and air-conditioning units. They believe the theft happened sometime the week before. The value of the damage and replacement costs is estimated to be roughly $500,000. The RCMP is asking anyone with information about the incident, or video footage of any suspicious activity in the area, to contact investigators at 902-490-5020.
