The Nova Scotia RCMP is investigating an alleged shooting near a school in North Preston over the weekend. Police responded to a report of a vehicle being shot on Downey Road near Nelson Whynder Elementary School and the North Preston Cemetery around 7 p.m. on Saturday, according to an RCMP news release. There were no reported injuries. Police believe the shooting, which shattered the window of a vehicle, happened around 6:30 p.m. The investigation indicates a metal pellet hit the vehicle.
