A new long-term care space has opened in Bedford, N.S. Adeline Hall officially opened on Tuesday with 144 single resident rooms as part of the province’s goal to build or replace 5,700 rooms across the province. The hall is the eighth long-term care facility to open as part of the province’s plan. Adeline Hall is operated by Shannex. The home features a main street area with spaces to socialize, a hair salon, an occupational therapy and physiotherapy area, a suite for families to stay overnight, and outdoor areas. Residents live in small neighbourhoods within the home made up of 16 residents each. Residents began moving into Adeline Hall at the end of June, and about 80 residents have moved in to date, with the others moving in over the coming weeks.
