A 37-year-old man is facing charges after he allegedly threatened residents with a crowbar in the parking lot of an apartment building in Dartmouth, N.S., Sunday morning. Halifax Regional Police (HRP) responded to a weapons complaint in the parking lot on Kennedy Drive around 8:20 a.m. Police say it was reported that a man was yelling and waving a crowbar at residents. The suspect was still on scene when police arrived and they arrested him without incident. “Officers determined that the incident occurred after the suspect was confronted regarding his excessive use of his vehicle’s horn. During the verbal dispute, the suspect threatened the victims with the crowbar,” a release from HRP said. No physical injuries were reported. During the investigation, officers also determined that the suspect’s vehicle had a licence plate that was previously reported stolen.
