Two teenagers are facing several charges for allegedly robbing a Canadian Tire and threatening the staff in Bedford, N.S. Halifax police responded to the reported robbery at the store on 150 Damascus Rd. around 5 p.m. on Monday. They learned two people wearing masks allegedly broke into a display case containing pellet guns and threatened staff with a firearm, according to a news release. The suspects fled the scene in a vehicle with the stolen merchandise. There were no reported injuries. “Officers located the vehicle nearby and arrested both suspects and the driver,” the release reads. “It was determined that the driver was a rideshare driver who was not involved. He was released at the scene without charges.” Police seized the stolen merchandise and a pellet gun believed to have been used during the incident. A 16-year-old and 17-year-old were both charged with: The 16-year-old also faces two counts of carrying a concealed weapon and three counts of breach of a release order. The 17-year-old was charged with carrying a concealed weapon, six counts of breach of a probation order and three counts of possession of a firearm contrary to an order.
