Halifax Fashion Week is marking its fifth year with a celebration of culture and community. The fashion showcase featured eye-catching designs from local designers at the Emera Oval on Wednesday. Solitha Shortte with Soli Productions said the festival aims to celebrate a wide variety of cultural backgrounds, including Indigenous, African Nova Scotian and immigrants. “All of us came together here to support the arts,” Shortte said. “Today we celebrated what it means to come together in full authenticity.” Halifax Fashion Week runs until Saturday.
