An investiture ceremony happened Tuesday morning in Halifax for the latest group of people appointed to the Order of Nova Scotia. The order’s newest members were announced last December. Lt.-Gov. Mike Savage said they have each made have made meaningful contributions in a broad range of fields and communities across the province. The recipients are: “It’s hugely meaningful and a huge honour and a surprise,” said Plaskett. “I just feel really fortunate. It’s a privilege to be honoured in this way and recognized for being in this province the way I have been in it.” The investiture ceremony was held at Government House, where Savage presented the new members with their insignia and appointment scroll.
