Toronto police arrest man one year after he breached statutory release in Saint John, N.B.

Toronto police have arrested a man more than a year after he allegedly breached the conditions of his statutory release in Saint John, N.B.

The Saint John Police Force says Jaden Sauve failed to return to the Community Correctional Centre and a warrant of apprehension and suspension was issued for him on March 30, 2025.

The Toronto Police Service found and arrested Sauve last Friday.

Saint John police say Sauve is serving an eight-year and six-month sentence for:

• aggravated assault
• discharge of a firearm
• use of a firearm while committing
• unauthorized possession of a motor vehicle
• possession of a prohibited/restricted firearm with ammunition
• possession of a firearm knowing it’s unauthorized
• carrying a concealed weapon
• dangerous operation of a motor vehicle
• flight from police
• failure to comply with a probation order
