The New Brunswick RCMP says it has identified a woman found dead in Moncton, N.B., earlier this week, but investigators are still trying to determine how she died. Police said Wednesday the Moncton woman is 39, not 40 as previously reported. They have been in contact with the woman’s family, but they have not released her name to the public. “Her death is still being investigated as a homicide; however, police are still working to determine the cause of her death,” said the RCMP in a short statement. Police responded to a report of a sudden death at the end of High Street around 12:10 p.m. Sunday. They found the woman’s body inside a garbage bin outside, near a walking trail. The RCMP also conducted an operation in connection with the investigation a few blocks away at an apartment building on Norwood Avenue early Monday morning. Several members of the RCMP, including a forensics team, were also seen at the eight-unit dwelling on Tuesday. The RCMP said the public could continue to see police activity at both locations in the coming days.
