New Brunswick Premier Susan Holt will travel to Ontario next week to meet with Prime Minister Mark Carney and federal ministers. The meetings will take place in Ottawa and Toronto on Monday and Tuesday. The province says Holt will advance New Brunswick’s role in “Canada’s economic growth, defence industrial strategy and major project development.” She will also reportedly press for long-term, predictable health-care funding. “New Brunswick has what the world needs, and we’re working with partners across the country to unlock that potential,” Holt said in a Friday news release. “Our focus is on making sure New Brunswick is at the centre of the major projects and defence investments that will shape our country’s future.” In addition to meeting with Carney, the premier will meet with several federal ministers, including: Holt will also join other premiers taking part in the Canadian Chamber of Commerce’s Future of Business Summit in Ottawa.
