Molson Coors announced a significant job cuts plan on Monday, but it’s not yet known how or if it will affect their Moncton plant. The company announced it will eliminate roughly 400 positions, representing nine per cent of its workforce across North America. In an email to CTV News, Molson spokesperson Alexandra Sockett said the restructuring applies to employees across the Americas, encompassing the United States, Canada and Latin America. “At this stage, we are not providing a breakdown by country or province. No Canadian breweries or offices will shut down as part of this restructuring,” said Sockett. The Molson Brewery on MacNaughton Avenue in the Caledonia Industrial Park has been in operation for 18 years and is one of five Molson breweries in Canada.
