A man from Hampton, N.B., is facing charges in connection with an investigation into sexual assault and human trafficking in the area, according to RCMP. Police say they began an investigation into reports of human trafficking of multiple adult females in Moncton, Saint John, and Hampton in November 2025. A 44-year-old man, who police say they are unable to name because of a publication ban, was arrested on Friday in connection with the investigation. The man appeared in Saint John provincial court the same day and was charged with: The man was held in custody for a bail hearing and was later released on conditions.
