A former Halifax massage therapist that was charged twice last year is facing new sexual assault charges. Halifax Regional Police says it laid two more sexual assault charges against 43-year-old Sergii Kozub on July 15. Police initially arrested and charged Kozub with one count of sexual assault back in March. He was charged with five more counts of sexual assault in April. Kozub reappeared in Halifax provincial court on Sept. 8 to face the latest charges. Kozub previously worked as a massage therapist at a business on Lacewood Drive in Halifax. Police allege the assaults took place during appointments and say the additional charges “represent more victims coming forward.” Police say there is no statute of limitation on sexual assaults and they are encouraging anyone who may have been a victim to contact them.
