Kiran Dhillon

Kiran Dhillon is an Emmy Award-winning multiplatform journalist with experience in breaking news, investigative, digital, and business journalism. In her role as anchor with CTV News Channel, she keeps Canadians informed with national and international headlines and conducts in-depth interviews with newsmakers. Over the course of her career, Dhillon has covered a vast array of international stories, reporting from across Canada, New York City, India, and the Middle East. Prior to joining CTV News Channel, Dhillon was a journalist with Al Jazeera English based in Doha, Qatar. She spent several years as a reporter in New York City for PIX11 News, CBS News New York, and Bloomberg. Prior to leaving Canada, she worked as a journalist for CP24, as well as a correspondent with CTV News Channel and a national digital producer with CTVNews.ca. She began her career as a reporter with CBC News, working in Toronto, Vancouver, Winnipeg, Regina, and Saskatoon. Raised in Winnipeg, Dhillon received her master of arts degree in economics and business journalism from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism. While working on her degree, her reporting on India’s mental health crisis was featured in the Guardian and the Caravan. She speaks English, French, Punjabi, and conversational Hindi.
