Joanna Petropoulos

Joanna Petropoulos joined the CTV News assignment desk in August 2025, specializing in covering breaking news, current affairs and politics. She began her career at her hometown news station, CHCH News, first as a writer and then as the station’s weekday assignment editor. While here, she covered breaking and feature stories across different parts of Ontario, including Hamilton, and the Halton and Niagara regions. Her passion for storytelling was first instilled by her family and only grew during her time at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ont., where she earned a bachelor of arts in political studies. She speaks both English and Greek.
