BEIJING - The U.S. Geological Survey says a magnitude 6.5 earthquake has struck northwestern China.
There were no immediate reports of casualties.
The agency says the Monday morning quake struck at a depth of 10 kilometres in the northwestern Chinese province of Qinghai.
A 7.9 magnitude earthquake on May 12 devastated parts of Sichuan province, just east of Tibet.
It killed 70,000 people and left five million people homeless.
