Called the Slide, Lexus's skateboard-like construction that uses magnetic levitation -- rather than wheels -- to glide through the air rather than the street will soon become a reality.
Once a thing of sci-fi fantasy, the hoverboard, which the company has been testing near Barcelona, Spain, will become visible and perhaps even tangible for a lucky few on August 5, the company announced in a video.
