After more than two months away from the public eye, a pregnant Kate Middleton is stepping out in front of the cameras. And now it’s her baby bump that’s stealing the show.

The public is catching its first glimpses of the royal’s visibly pregnant figure as Catherine, affectionately known as Kate, resumes her royal duties.

In early September, royal officials confirmed that Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge are expecting their second child. At the time, Clarence House also said Kate was being treated again for a severe form of morning sickness.

Now approximately four months pregnant, the Duchess appears to be healthy and back to making public appearances. On Wednesday, Kate hosted an awards ceremony and reception at Kensington Palace to honour a mental health and well-being charity, of which she is a patron. Dressed in a demure polka-dot top and a mid-length skirt, Kate greeted guests and helped distribute awards.

The British press was quick to point out the bump, with The Daily Mail noting how the top “flatters her tiny baby bump.”

At a star-studded charity event in London last week, Middleton’s baby bump was also on display as the royal, dressed in a modest black dress with long lace sleeves, schmoozed with celebrities like One Direction’s Harry Styles.

And she’s not slowing down. Clarence House announced recently that Prince William and Kate will travel to New York City and Washington D.C. for a jam-packed three-day visit in early December.

Meanwhile, the baby’s sex has not been publicly revealed but if it’s anything like Prince George’s birth, it’s likely to stay a secret until the arrival.

Kate is expected to give birth in April.
