After being announced as a performer at the upcoming event during Sunday's Super Bowl, seven-time Grammy winner Taylor Swift will be the opening act at this year's ceremony on February 15.

Swift stands a chance of doubling her current Grammys haul as she is nominated for a further seven at this year's event.

In all, over 30 solo artists and groups will be performing live at the 2016 Grammys and alongside Swift, on Thursday event organizers confirmed that Alabama Shakes, Joey Alexander and Miguel are also set to take to the stage at the Staples Center.

For Alexander, nominated for two awards, it will be the jazz artist's first time performing at the show and he will be doing so alongside pop music superstars such as Justin Bieber, Adele, and Lady Gaga who will be paying tribute to the late great David Bowie.
