"My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2" has been given an official release date.

The Universal Pictures romantic comedy is set to reach movie theatres on March 25, almost 14 years since the surprise box office hit first hit the big screen in 2002, Variety reports. It will once more star its creator Nia Vardalos, who is working on the screenplay for the next installment of the Portokalos family drama.

The film will be directed by Kirk Jones, known for his work on "Nanny McPhee", and produced by Rita Wilson, Tom Hanks and Gary Goetzman.
