Chris Pine considering role in 'Wonder Woman'

U.S. actor Chris Pine is negotiating with Warner Bros. to join the cast of the "Wonder Woman" film starring Gal Gadot.

Pine is vying for the role of Steve Trevor, who captures the heart of Gadot's Wonder Woman, the alter ego of a woman named Diana Prince, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Directed by Patty Jenkins -- who joined the crew after Michelle MacLaren jumped ship -- the film is to be released on June 23, 2017.
