Ever get really frustrated when a seemingly great parking spot in a busy parking lot is unusable because another driver took up two, three, or even five spots?
Now, depending on where you live, there is a way to take out that frustration online. Twitter accounts and Facebook pages have popped up in at least Calgary, Edmonton, Regina, Saskatoon, Vancouver and Ottawa.
In Calgary, the Twitter handle @DBagParkingYYC started tweeting early in July. The description reads: "See somebody parked like an idiot? Tweet us a pic and tell your friends."
It was started by Brian LaBelle after the account he created in Edmonton became a hit. LaBelle then began an account in Vancouver, which sent out its first tweet less than a week ago.
"Hopefully then we can get the truly spectacular-terrible park jobs and just showcase them across the country," said LaBelle.
Some people have questioned the usefulness of such a page, but LaBelle feels these are adults, they know the rules and they chose to ignore them.
"People just like to vent…I don't think there's anything wrong with that," he said.
The problem and public shaming isn't unique to Canada. A Moscow newspaper launched an app in June where users photograph the bad parkers and then the photos are shared with readers online. The photos are posted as a pop-up ad and only in the area near the bad parking job.
Here are some of the worst parking jobs from around Canada:
