HALIFAX - Police in Halifax are asking for the public's help as they investigate a report from an 11-year-old girl who says a man in a car offered her $100 to get in his vehicle.
Officers say the girl was on her way to school on Castle Hill Drive today at 8:40 a.m. when a light-coloured car pulled up next to her.
Investigators say the driver rolled down the passenger-side window and offered the girl $100 to drive her to school.
The girl told police she ran away and immediately reported the incident to school staff.
Police say the suspect is described as a white man in his 40s with short brown hair and was smoking a cigarette.
