A heartwarming new Samsung commercial featuring a deaf man’s extraordinary morning has gone viral.
The ad promoting Samsung’s new video call centre for the hearing impaired in Turkey shows Muharrem, a young man in Istanbul, who leaves home one morning with his sister only to encounter a series of strangers communicating with him in sign language.
Muharrem is stumped, and pleasantly surprised, to see so many people signing to him. When the team behind the marketing campaign finally reveals itself, Muharrem is left in tears.
“All for Muharrem to have one day, with no barriers,” the ad says.
The spot, called Hearing Hands, was shot in late December and shared on YouTube last week. It has since been watched nearly two million times.
