An American airline is providing free flights to the families of the Orlando mass shooting victims. JetBlue, which trains all of its employees in Orlando, announced the offer on its blog today.

“JetBlue is providing free seats on its available flights to/from Orlando for immediate family and domestic partners of victims who were killed or injured,” the airline explains.

Forty-nine people were killed and dozens more were injured in the Sunday attack at the Pulse nightclub in Orlando. It was the deadliest mass shooting in U.S. history.

The airline says family members and domestic partners should call 1-800-JETBLUE for more details on Orlando flights.

A fee waiver is also in place for other customers traveling to and from Orlando who need to make last-minute changes to their travel plans.

Fliers ticketed to fly through Orlando from Sunday through Tuesday will be allowed to make a change to their itineraries without paying the customary change fee.

"This weekend’s events are felt by all of our 19,000 crewmembers, many of whom live in, work from and travel through Orlando – one of our focus cities – at Orlando International Airport, our Orlando Support Center and JetBlue University," the airline said via its blog.

"We want to do our part to help the victims of this tragedy, as well as support the Orlando community through this difficult time."

Shortly after JetBlue’s announcement, many people took to social media to praise the airline’s efforts in supporting the victims’ families.
