TORONTO -- Every day until Nov. 3, new polling numbers are released in the race for the White House. CTVNews.ca’s U.S. poll tracker highlights the latest national polls from dozens of professional firms to track the ever-changing race between U.S. President Donald Trump and former U.S. Vice-President Joe Biden.

The polls are all scientific, publicly available and measure the views of registered or likely voters across the United States. Sample sizes and links to each poll are included.

An important note: these polls are national and reflect snapshots of the race at the moment they’re taken. While this data may offer key insights into the national popular vote and how it has evolved, a candidate will need to win 270 electoral votes from the electoral college to claim victory. As was the case in 2016, it’s possible for a candidate to win the popular vote but lose the electoral college.

Curious about the key battleground states? We’ve also collected the latest polling data from statewide races across the country.
