Canadian Filipino youths are less likely to hold a degree than their peers in other immigrant groups, says a new Canadian study.

Winnipeg group A.N.A.K collaborated with the researcher from York Centre for Asian Research, who conducted the study.

The study shows financial hardship is often a factor.

Parents often work extra jobs and irregular hours which means less time for parents to support and guide children, said the study.

It also means a lack of role models working based on their degrees, said the study.
