One person in hospital after Minto house fire

One person was brought to hospital and other residents were displaced following a fire Thursday.

The City of Winnipeg said crews were called to a house fire in the 900 block of Strathcona Street after 5 p.m.

When they arrived, one person needed to be transported to hospital in stable condition.

The blaze was declared under control shortly after 6 p.m.

Emergency social services were also called in to help displaced residents of the home.

The fire is under investigation. No damage estimates were available.
