Theft averted in LaSalle

A theft has been avoided in LaSalle after a quick response from police officers.

On Saturday just before 1 a.m., the LaSalle Police Service was called with a report of an active break and enter at an apartment building that’s under construction.

Police said two men were seen grabbing commercial machinery and tools in the building.

When officers arrived, the area was searched, and the suspects were found.

A 24-year-old Windsor man and a 65-year-old Windsor man are facing break-and-enter charges.
